Retrofitting Existing Minivans for Wheelchair Accessibility

Existing vans may qualify for a retrofit depending on their age and physical condition.  Our current line-up of vans includes: Chrysler, Dodge, Honda, Volkswagen and Toyota. We also modify selected GM and Ford minivans, even though they have recently discontinued their minivan lines. Past models of Chrysler/Dodge minivans (2005-2009) may also qualify. Before you consider investing in the purchase of a new minivan to suit your needs, please check the conversion chart to see if your vehicle can be modified.

Our wheelchair modification is preferred because the vehicle manufacturer’s original unibody design is not compromised. Our construction techniques ensure that the vehicle’s frame is as perfectly aligned as it was when it came off the production line. Other modifications (e.g. side entry) are more intrusive because a significant piece of the vehicle is removed during construction and the original safety & quality may have been compromised.
